The Washington Redskins will kick off the next phase of their offseason program Tuesday, hitting the field for their first practice sessions, known in the NFL as organized team activities.
Until now, the work has consisted only of conditioning drills and film study sessions. The sessions that begin Tuesday are in a controlled environment, with no contact drills permitted.
Washington held its rookie minicamp just less than two weeks ago, and now those first year players and veterans will share the field.
