Every year, players come out of nowhere to seize roster spots during training camp and the preseason. That’s the beauty of NFL football — anybody can come out of nowhere to make an impact. And with 53 roster spots, there are always some surprises.
The Redskins have seen this first hand in recent seasons. Last year, Cam Sims made the opening day roster as an undrafted rookie. The previous year, it was Tyler Catalina doing the same thing. This year, the team will be looking for similar contributors to step into roles that are available.
