The New York Giants, despite their circumstances, continue to plague Washington. The Giants swept the Commanders this year without Daniel Jones, who is 5-1 against Washington in his career, winning with backups Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito. Since 2013, the Giants are 15-6-1 overall against Washington, so despite the Commanders unquestionably being the better team heading into Sunday’s matchup, the outcome was unfortunately on par with how history played out in recent years.
The Commanders offense was hamstrung by an abundance of self-inflicted mistakes, turning the ball over five times, and six overall with a fumble on a kick return, too.
