DeAngelo Hall took advantage of a sloppy Eagles play on Saturday evening to make NFL history.
In the third quarter of the Redskins’ 38-24 NFC East-clinching victory, the Eagles, on 3rd and 2 from their own 29-yard line, tried to mix it up on a pitch to running back DeMarco Murray.
But with wet conditions -- and wkith poor execution on the Eagles’ part -- the ball would bounce off Murray and hit the turf, before veteran defensive back DeAngelo Hall would scoop and score for his fifth fumble return for touchdown in his 12-year career.
