ASHBURN — Quinton Dunbar worked off to the side during Monday’s OTA session as the Redskins remain cautious about re-incorporating the cornerback after he suffered a nerve injury in his leg that lingered throughout last season.
Dunbar missed nine games in 2018. At one point, the 26-year-old tried to return from the the injury — only for his leg to give out on him again on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins placed him on injured reserve in December.
Now months later, coach Jay Gruden said Dunbar is doing “very, very well.”
“We want to make sure that thing is strengthened,” Gruden said.
