Last year, the Redskins pounced on the opportunity to sign Josh Norman when the Carolina Panthers, in a shocking turn of events, rescinded his franchise tag, sending him to the free agency pool, where he immediately floated to the top. The move paid off for the Redskins. Norman built off of the success of his 2015 season, maintaining his reputation as one of the fiercest, most competitive cornerbacks in the league.
Now, in the offseason of 2017, another team seems to be struggling with their negotiations pertaining to a certain star running back. Le’Veon Bell has yet to sign the franchise tag designated to him by the Steelers, and he was not seen on the team’s first day of mandatory minicamp.
