DeSean Jackson Wears Caution Tape Cleats To Join Social Movement

The latest player to join the massive protest movement in sports is the Washington Redskins star wide receiver, DeSean Jackson. During the Redskins game against the Cleveland Browns, Jackson wore a pair of cleats that had yellow caution tape on them. He had the cleats custom made.

Jackson gave a reason for wearing the cleats, and communicated that he wanted the “senseless killings of both citizens and police” to end. According to ESPN’s John Keim, Jackson said the following after the game.

I felt like I’ve been silent long enough. It’s a bigger problem out there in the communities, in our society, things like you know the type of situations, people losing their lives, families, little kids going home and not having their parents no more because of crazy things going on.
