RICHMOND — Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss one to two weeks of action while allowing a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder to heal, coach Jay Gruden said Thursday afternoon.
Jackson hurt his shoulder on the first play of 1-on-1 drills against the Houston Texans. Jackson landed on his shoulder and was then evaluated by trainers before having his shoulder wrapped in ice.
Last season Jackson sprained his left shoulder in Week 2 of last season, but he didn’t miss any games.
Gruden said it’s possible that Jackson could return sooner than the one- to two-week window if the soreness subsides.
