Wide receiver DeSean Jackson eased back into practice Wednesday at Redskins Park for the first time since injuring his left hamstring in the first quarter of the Sept. 13 season-opening loss to Miami.
Team officials said after the hamstring injury was diagnosed that they expected it to sideline him for three to four weeks. That timetable puts his earliest return at Sunday’s game at Atlanta (4-0). But it’s far from clear that Jackson, the Redskins’ speediest wide receiver and big-play threat, will be ready to suit up against the Falcons.
Jackson did some light running and caught some balls during individual drills, but removed his helmet and watched from the sideline when the pace of the workout intensified.
