ASHBURN — The injuries are already piling up for the Washington Redskins.
Tight end Jordan Reed, quarterback Colt McCoy, running back Derrius Guice, defensive linemen Jonathan Allen and Caleb Brantley were all ruled out of Sunday’s home opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Further, cornerback Quinton Dunbar was listed as questionable with a knee injury, while cornerback Fabian Moreau is doubtful with an ankle injury — potentially leaving Washington’s secondary incredibly thin.
In related moves, the Redskins placed Guice (knee) and Brantley (foot) on injured reserve Friday — freeing up two roster spots. Washington filled one of them, however, by promoting wide receiver Robert Davis to the practice squad.
