RICHMOND — Cornerback DeAngelo Hall left Sunday’s practice after spraining a toe on his left foot.
The 12th-year veteran sustained the injury while covering wide receiver Rashad Ross, who caught a pass from Robert Griffin III on a crossing route. The players weren’t wearing pads, so Hall tagged Ross on his shoulders, but stepped awkwardly as he ran and immediately went to his knees.
Head trainer Larry Hess and team President Bruce Allen went onto the field to check on Hall. The cornerback eventually stood up, shaking his left foot periodically, and walked off gingerly.
A team spokesman said after practice that Hall was being evaluated further and the extent of the damage was unknown at that time.
