ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have watched Kirk Cousins develop as a quarterback. There’s another area some players want him to grow more in as well: leadership. That was one of the messages delivered during their players-only meeting Saturday night. And it came from safety Dashon Goldson.
“This team is going to win with him,” Goldson said. “We only go as far as he takes us. I just wanted him to understand that. As a quarterback, he’s got to be a leader, a little more vocal and take charge in what’s going on on the offensive side and as a team.
