Dan Snyder’s attorneys informed the House Oversight and Reform Committee that the Washington Commanders won’t appear at the panel’s scheduled hearing for next week, a committee spokesperson said Wednesday.
The lawyers reportedly sent a four-page letter to the committee, which originally gave the embattled billionaire a June 6 deadline to reply. Snyder was invited along with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to appear at a June 22 hearing that House Democrats said would probe “the NFL’s role in setting and enforcing standards across the League, and legislative reforms needed to address these issues across the NFL and other workplaces.
