From there, I simulate every game this season — and repeat this process 100,000 times — to see how many games a team is likely to win, how often it makes the playoffs or wins its division and even wins the Super Bowl. But today we’re just focused on win totals.

Once again, the division winner will come down to the Eagles and Cowboys. That’s how it’s gone for seven of the past eight seasons, and my model puts one of those two on top almost 95 percent of the time.
