The Washington Redskins didn’t take long to make up their minds on veteran lineman Cullen Jenkins. Less than a week after signing him, the Redskins released him as they pare their roster to 53 by Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline.
Jenkins, a 12-year veteran who has played with Green Bay, Philadelphia and most recently the New York Giants, was signed on Monday -- shortly before the Redskins released veteran lineman Stephen Paea.
Jenkins played a handful of snaps in the preseason finale against Tampa Bay and even made some plays in the backfield.
