The Washington Commanders unveiled two options for their new fight song Tuesday, asking fans to vote for their preference.
The lyrics and the tune closely resemble the team’s old song, “Hail to the Redskins,” but have been tweaked to match the new moniker. Fans can vote online on the team’s website to determine the winner and have until Aug. 6 to do so.
The main difference beyond swapping the retired name for Commanders is that “Braves on the Warpath!” has been changed to either “Fight of our Commanders!” or “Leaders on a mission!” — depending on the version.
