ASHBURN — Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson is listed as questionable against the Buffalo Bills but said he is optimistic about his availability for Sunday’s game.
Thompson tore the labrum in his left shoulder against the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago and did not play last Sunday against the Chicago Bears. He was a limited participant in practice all week.
Over the last four weeks, running back Matt Jones has handled most of the pass protection duties, which would make it easier for Thompson to play. Of course, that decision is ultimately up to the coaching staff but Thompson said he feels ready to return.
