Redskins defensive lineman Chris Baker received a fine of $17,363 for a roughing-the-passer penalty committed in the season opener, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
Baker’s penalty occurred late in the second quarter when he hit Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill after he released the ball on on 11-yard completion.
The pass, plus the penalty moved the ball from Miami’s 47-yard line to the Redskins’ 27.
The Dolphins went on to score, tying the game 10-10 just before halftime.
