Washington head coach Jay Gruden recently stated his biggest fear as a coach was a lack of depth at center. Sixth-round prospect Chase Roullier can potentially find a path to a starting job on the offensive line and put an end to his head coach’s woes.
The last few seasons, the Redskins have struggled to find someone to man the center position. Current starter Spencer Long is a converted guard, as was previous starter Kory Lichtensteiger. Depth was a problem last season, as Lichtensteiger was sent to IR and the Redskins were forced to sign free agent John Sullivan.
