Cornerback Cary Williams practiced for the first time as a member of the Washington Redskins on Wednesday as the team prepared for a first-round playoff series against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at FedEx Field. It was an introductory day for the eight-year veteran to get acclimated with the scheme and the players in the secondary.
Williams brings playoff experience to a depleted position. He’s played in 11 postseason games, including a Super Bowl win with the Baltimore Ravens during the 2012 season. The Redskins needed another cornerback on the roster after placing rookie Kyshoen Jarrett on injured reserve and with Quinton Dunbar’s status unknown.
