Cam Sims led all Redskins receivers last preseason with 131 yards gained. He averaged 26.2 yards per reception which was tied for second most in the NFL among players with at least five receptions.
All the hard work he had put in during training camp had paid off. After being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2018, Sims made the Redskins 53-man opening day roster. His spot on that roster however was very short-lived. On the opening kickoff of the Redskins first regular season game, Sims suffered a high ankle sprain that landed him on Injured Reserve.
