Byron Marshall to miss 2-4 weeks after suffering ankle injury in Redskins vs. Jets

There are some players that just always seem to get hurt at the worst possible times. Byron Marshall is one of those guys. After appearing to be a contender to make the Redskins roster as a backup to Chris Thompson, Marshall suffered an injury in the team’s second preseason game against the Jets. He left the game and wouldn’t return.

According to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, Marshall is now set to miss a couple of weeks to a month with an ankle injury. This is a major blow to Marshall’s chance to make the roster, and it also hurts the already fragile depth at the running back position for the Redskins.
