The Washington Redskins acquired center Bryan Stork from the New England Patriots in exchange for a conditional draft pick, according to multiple reports.
It was expected that New England was going to release Stork on Wednesday morning and that the third-year center would go on waivers, but he was traded instead.
Drafted out of Florida State in the fourth round in 2014, Stork started 11 games for the Patriots his rookie season, including the team’s win against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.
Stork played just eight regular-season games last season after beginning the season on short-term injured reserve because of a concussion and neck injury and shuffled along the offensive line as the Patriots dealt with injuries.
