Giants general manager Dave Gettleman justified his team’s selection of Duke’s Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick last week because he knew “for a fact” two other teams would have drafted the quarterback before New York picked again at No.17.
Then a report emerged stating that Washington and Denver were those two teams.
Redskins president Bruce Allen, however, strongly disagreed with Gettleman’s assertion.
“I’m almost positive Dave has no clue what our draft board would be,” Allen said Tuesday on The NFL Network. “I don’t know which draft boards he knows, but he doesn’t know ours.
