Dexter Manley was taken by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round of 1981 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State. He went on to start 113 games for the Redskins at defensive end and tallied 97.5 quarterback sacks in his nine seasons with the Redskins.
Manley made the pro bowl in 1986 and made all-pro that season as well. He set the Redskins single season sack record that season with 18.5 sacks. Manley was a member of two Super Bowl winning teams in Super Bowl XVII and XXII. Dexter Manley is a member of the Washington Redskins Ring of Fame.
Dexter Manley is the greatest pass rusher in Washington Redskins history and amazingly he was a fifth round draft pick.
