Former Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges in York County, South Carolina.
Breeland, who re-signed with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, is charged with resisting arrest, having alcohol in a motor vehicle with the seal open, having open beer or wine in a motor vehicle, possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams of hash and driving without a license.
On Twitter, Breeland defended himself from the charges — suggesting two men threw the substances into his car while he was getting gas:
Breeland, 28, spent the first four seasons of his career with Washington.
