Redskins wide receiver Andre Roberts has had a strange three weeks. He was a healthy scratch in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles, missing just the third game in his six-year career, and demoted based on performance. He struggled catching balls last season, dropping eight passes, and the issue popped up again in Week 3 versus the New York Giants.
“There are some good things that he’s done, but obviously he is a wide receiver and wide receivers should not drop that many balls,” Redskins Coach Jay Gruden said on Sept. 25, a day after the Giants game.
