After four years as the featured back in the Washington Redskins’ offense, Alfred Morris has signed with one of the team’s top rivals.
Morris, the fifth all-time leading rusher in Redskins history, signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, his agent Sean Stellato said. Financial terms weren’t immediately available.
In eight career games against the Cowboys, Morris rushed for 710 yards and seven touchdowns on 152 carries, averaging 4.67 yards per attempt.
Morris closed out the 2015 season with a 19-carry, 100-yard game against Dallas, his season of the season. Morris had a trying season while splitting carries with rookie Matt Jones.
