ASHBURN — Adrian Peterson said Thursday he recently met with Trent Williams in person and that the left tackle has returned to Virginia amid his holdout from the Washington Redskins.
The running back added the two did not talk about Williams’ situation. The seven-time Pro Bowler is holding out from the Redskins over his dissatisfaction with the team’s medical staff and their handling of a benign growth on his scalp. Williams did not report to practice this week ahead of Washington’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Yeah, he’s here,” Peterson said. “He had to come back to take care of some things.
