Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins performed poorly in the loss to the Falcons on Sunday. While he wasn’t the only player at fault for the loss, Cousins missed opportunities to make plays and extend drives. There were times he threw the ball too high for his receiver to reach and others when he threw the ball behind the receiver. His mechanics looked off to me.
For the high throws, the answer would appear simple.
Cousins, likely anticipating an incoming pass rusher, falls away from this throw, instead of stepping into it and following through.
