The safety position is fairly strong for the Washington Redskins, but they currently lack depth. When they had Su’a Cravens, the team had a solid backup safety. However, the Redskins elected to trade Cravens to the Denver Broncos after an ongoing saga that saw Cravens miss the entirety of the 2017 season.
With Cravens gone, the team now only has veteran Deshazor Everett available. And while Everett has some talent, the Redskins shouldn’t entrust him with the top backup role. So, they will have to find a potential replacement for the him.
That said, there are a lot of top options still available in the draft and on the free agent market.
