The prevailing opinion is that the Washington Redskins will take an edge rusher with the fifth pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. There could be some top edge rushers on the board like Dante Fowler Jr. when the Redskins pick. However, it’s still a possibility that they’ll take an offensive lineman.
Iowa’s Brandon Scherff is considered to be the top offensive lineman in the draft and he should be available at the fifth pick. And even though Scherff isn’t considered a top five talent, the Redskins have a need on the offensive line and this is why Scherff is in play at number five.
