The Washington Redskins won't have Jonathan Allen for the rest of the season. Allen is dealing with a Lisfranc foot injury that will end his season.
ESPN reports the injury was suffered Sunday against the 49ers. The injury was originally thought to only be a 3-4 week injury, but it appears the severity is worse than originally thought.
Allen was a first round pick by the Redskins this year. He fell in the draft because of concerns about his shoulder, which has not been an issue thus far in the NFL. He racked up 10 tackles and one sack in his playing time this year. He had played the second-most snaps of any DL for the Redskins this year.
With Allen hurt, the likes of Stacy McGee and Terrell McClain will need to step up. On the bright side, Matt Ioannidis has been a pleasant surprise for the Redskins.
