The 2017 NFL season is just weeks away, and the Washington Redskins have a tough road ahead of them in their quest to return to the NFL Playoffs next season. These are the 5 toughest games standing between the Redskins and a return to the postseason:
5) at New York Giants (Week 17)
You could really switch this out with any game against the Giants or Eagles, but Dallas' trip to New York will be the toughest of the group. Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. are one of the best QB-WR duos in the league, and their offense only got strong with the addition of Brandon Marshall. Plus, their defense is improving as well.
4) at Kansas City Chiefs (Week 4)
Kansas City has an incredibly stingy defense, largely because of their ability to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks. This being a Monday night game on the road only adds to the difficulty for Washington.
3) Oakland Raiders (Week 3)
Oakland was the second-best team in the AFC last season when quarterback Derek Carr was healthy, and all they've done is upgrade their roster this offseason. Plus, their young stars should be even better with another offseason of development.
2) at Dallas Cowboys (Week 13)
The Cowboys enter the season as the favorites in the NFC as Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott & Co. are hoping to build on last season's success. Both teams will have a full week to prepare for this Thursday night showdown, but playing on the road against a great team is never fun.
1) at Seattle Seahawks (Week 9)
Playing at CenturyLink Field is still one of the toughest tasks in professional football. Seattle's defense plays their best in front of their home crowd and opposing teams never seem to be able to find their rhythm. They have only lost six games there in the last five years.
