The Washington Redskins are planning on sticking with Kirk Cousins as the team's starting QB.
Cousins has thrown two interceptions in four of his six games, with one touchdown in every game. Cousins' turnovers problems have prompted questions about whether he should remain the starter. However, Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is going to stick with Cousins.
"Kirk gives us the best chance to win, still," Gruden told ESPN. "I want to see him fight through this. That's going to be the making of a strong person, a strong football player. How they react to some tough times and how they improve. I'm excited to see him bounce back and have a big bounce-back game this week and the coming weeks. We'll see how it goes."
That means Colt McCoy will remain the backup and Robert Griffin III is still the third-stringer. Gruden has put all his chips on Cousins, and Cousins' play could determine whether Gruden is the Redskins' head coach next season.
