The latest Washington Redskins news on DeSean Jackson is that the star wide receiver is unlikely to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This report comes from ESPN's Britt McHenry. Jackson is battling a hamstring issue that has caused him to miss the past five games. He also missed the majority of Washington's season opener against the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson hasn't caught a pass yet this season and has only been targeted once. Last year, Jackson caught 56 passes on 94 targets for 1,169 yards and 6 touchdowns.
In Jackson's absence, Pierre Garcon has led the team in targets and catches. Jamison Crowder has taken over as the No. 2 WR.
It's unclear when Jackson will return to the field, although he could return after the team's bye in Week 8.
