The 2016 NFL Draft is complete, but the Washington Redskins haven't addressed all of their needs yet. Sure, they filled most of their needs and added depth in the draft, but theywere unable to touch on all the areas they wanted to upgrade going into the next season. So what is the biggest team need for the 'Skins? We have the answer to that question below, and throw out a few potential players the team could add to help fix that need.
Biggest Need:
Running back
Washington is content to move forward with Matt Jones as their lead back after losing Alfred Morris in free agency, but they lack depth behind him - even with them drafting Georgia's Keith Marshall. Besides, head coach Jay Gruden prefers to use a committee approach to the position, so adding another starting-caliber back is a necessity.
Who Washington Could Add:
Arian Foster
The former Pro Bowler will be 30 years old this season and coming off a series of injuries, but he's easily the best back available. Along with being an excellent pass catcher, Foster's one-cut running style is a perfect fit in Washington's running scheme. Plus, splitting carries would probably be best for him at this point in his career.
Reggie Bush
Bush is coming off a torn ACL, but he would give the Redskins a speed back to pair with Jones' physical style. Signing him to a short-term deal is a must given his age (31), but he'd give Washington the kind of explosive weapon in the backfield they haven't had since Clinton Portis.
Joique Bell
If Washington wants to go power-power with their running back combination like last year, Bell is their guy. He was lost behind Detroit's terrible offensive line last year, but there's reason to believe he still has a lot left in the tank. He'd also be considerably cheaper than the other two options on this list.
Preseason Cut
There will be a few quality players that don't end up making team's 53-man rosters. Perhaps it will be a veteran that is cut in favor of a rookie. Maybe it's a young player with raw talent that a team tries to sneak onto the practice squad. Either way, if the Redskins don't add anyone before the start of the preseason, expect them to monitor the waiver wire closely.
