The Washington Redskins are being listed as major underdogs by most Vegas sportsbooks when it comes to Sunday's road game against the San Francisco 49ers.
While ESPN Redskins writer John Keim doesn't seem too confident in Washington's chances to upend the 49ers on their home turf, he did come up with a little bit of a recipe for a Redskins win:
Their defense, I think, can do all right against the Niners’ offense and that could keep the game interesting for a little while. Then you never know. With DeSean Jackson, they’re often one throw from stinging a team. Maybe it’s a one-in-a-million chance they win. To which the Redskins would say, “So you’re saying there’s a chance.”
One thing that Keim didn't mention is San Francisco's inconsistency. This is the same team that was taken down at home by a mediocre Chicago Bears team. This is also the same 49ers squad that was leaking rumors of dissension left and right during a 4-4 start to the 2014 NFL season.
If the Redskins can band together behind RGIII and put 60 solid minutes of football together, who can tell what will happen on any given Sunday.
