Redskins rumors have been full of impact signings since the beginning of free agency on Tuesday, and the Washington Redskins are looking to keep momentum and add one more notch to their belt.
According to CBSSports.com NFL insider Jason La Canfora, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Donald Penn will be making a trip to the nation's capital this weekend, and not just for the sightseeing--

While nothing is finalized by any stretch, the very fact that contract negotiations with the Redskins are already ongoing prior to his trip could have potentially good implications for the nature of the talks which will take place .
For a team that has seemed to be constantly in flux after their lone Super Bowl victory over a decade ago, Donald Penn's seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a model of consistency.
Penn appeared in all 112 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers regular season games from 2007-13, starting in every one of those contests from 2008 on. He also appeared as a NFC representative in the Pro Bowl back in 2010.
Penn is considered by most analysts to be the top offensive tackle left on the current NFL free agency market.
