Prior to a troubling 24-0 shutout loss to the St. Louis Rams, the Washington Redskins were provided a little reminder of the talent they may have passed up in the 2012 trade that allowed for the Redskins to select QB Robert Griffin III.
Per Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "via Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, the St. Louis ceremonial captains for the 24-0 win were six of the players acquired with draft picks obtained in the trade that allowed Washington to move up four spots in the first round of the 2012 draft."
The Rams haven't been shy about being proud of the cornerstone players they were able to pick thanks to the mega-deal with the Redskins just a couple years back, even fashioning an in-house motto about dominating with draft picks.
The captains for Sunday's game were wide receiver Stedman Bailey, cornerback Janoris Jenkins, tackle Greg Robinson, linebacker Alec Ogletree, defensive tackle Michael Brockers, and running back Zac Stacy.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher did not comment on his captain choices after the game.
