Robert Griffin III returned to the starting lineup for the Redskins after missing over a month of action with an ankle injury.
His presence was felt, and certainly helped the Redskins in a game that went back and forth with Alfred Morris and Matt Asiata trading touchdowns throughout the second half.
Minnesota was the last to score and hung on for a slim victory over the Redskins.
Turning Point: The Vikings took a three point lead with a touchdown and two point conversion with just over three minutes to go in the game. Washington had a chance to drive for the tie or lead, but turned the ball over on downs with just one minute to go.
Key Stat: Minnesota came up clutch going 8-15 on third down tries, and scoring on all three redzone opportunities. Washington went 3/5 in redzone scoring.
Redskins MVP: Alfred Morris - 19 carries, 92 yards, two touchdowns
Morris helped set the tone for the Redskins offense with RG3 back in the lineup. Although RG3 aired it out xx times, Morris came up huge in the running game.
Vikings MVP: Matt Asiata - 10 carries, 26 yards, three touchdowns
Asiata certainly made the most of his opportunities in this game, punching in three goal line scores to give Minnesota the lead on three separate occasions.
What's Next?
The Redskins will have a bye week before taking on the Buccaneers November 16th. The Vikings will take their bye week as well, before heading to Chicago for a divisional battle with the Bears.
