The Washington Redskins trade rumors are starting to pick up now that the 2018 NFL Draft is over. The Washington Redskins started the offseason with a bang when they traded for QB Alex Smith. The Redskins have shown this offseason that they are willing to deal players, if they feel it betters the team for the long haul. Here are three trades the Redskins could make this offseason:

1) Trade Away RB Rob Kelly
The Redskins selected Derrius Guice in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft and he is believed to take over the starting role in Washington. The Redskins also have Chris Thompson who is an elite pass catcher out of the backfield and will handle the third-down role. So this leaves Rob Kelly as the odd man out and perhaps the Redskins can try and trade him before they just release him.
2) Trade For Broncos LB Shane Ray
Shane Ray was selected 23rd overall in the 2015 NFL Draft and has shown some flashes including an impressive 2016 season racking up 48 tackles and eight sacks. Ray has dealt with a few wrist injuries that have limited him especially in 2017 where he totaled only one sack. The Broncos drafted Bradley Chubb fifth overall which will cut into Ray's playing time. The Redskins OLB position is still a question mark since Preston Smith has yet to prove he is worthy of a starting job.
3) Trade For Ravens TE Maxx Williams
Maxx Williams was the first tight end drafted in 2015. Williams suffered a serious knee injury in 2016 he hasn't lived up to his second-round draft hype. The Redskins' tight ends are Jordan Reed who is never healthy and Vernon Davis who is 34 years old . The tight end position is a major question mark right now for the Redskins, so it wouldn't be surprising to see them trade for Williams this offseason.
