With early fight in Game 5, Tom Wilson answered for his massive hit

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – When the time came to answer for his sins, forward Tom Wilson shook aside his gloves and started throwing punches. He knew the Islanders would challenge Wilson for his Game 4 charging penalty on Lubomir Visnosvky, which sidelined the defenseman indefinitely. He hoped it would come later than his second shift, but he knew it wasn’t up to him.

“I wasn’t really wanting to fight that early,” he said. “I wanted to play a little bit of hockey. But credit to him, he’s sticking up for his teammate. I’d do the same thing if it was one of our guys that went down.
