The Vegas Golden Knights quickly earned a reputation in their expansion season for having fun with their social media and pre-game routines.
But casual fans turning hockey on for the first time Monday night saw the Knights’ most elaborate pre-game show to date, as Vegas faced the Washington Capitals in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
The team personalizes the intros for the opponent; for instance, there was an eagle caw in reference to the Capitals’ alternate logo.
The Golden Knights also employed boxing ring announcer Michael Buffer of “Let’s get ready to rumble” fame to introduce the starting lineups.
