The Washington Capitals fell to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday evening. The Caps had a 3-1 lead after Michael Latta‘s second-period goal, but they couldn’t hang onto it. They allowed the Canes to get back in the game with two unanswered goals. Despite it being a preseason game, the Capitals can still take some things away from this loss.
