Since they came to the nation’s capitol in 1974, the Washington Capitals have been blessed with some special players. A number of them have guarded the net for the Caps. The Capitals have had several franchise goalies. Three of them have won a Vezina Trophy and several have won the William Jennings Trophy, although that’s more of a team award than an individual award.
In order to be eligible for this list, a goalie must have played in at least 75 games for the Caps. 16 goalies meet this requirement. Stats are hard to judge by era, so save percentage will be adjusted accordingly.
