One, who will take his spot in the lineup? And two, Who will take that lovely A that not many Washington Capitals players get to wear on their shoulders? Who will be the second alternate captain for the upcoming season in Washington?
The Captain is obviously not going to change as long as “The Great Eight” wants to call D.C. home. The same can likely be said for his partner in crime Nicklas Backstrom who currently holds the other A. But who the third captain will be isn’t really as much of a slam dunk.
