It’s weeks like this that no matter how long the NHL season feels it can still fly by. As true as that statement may feel or may not feel it doesn’t get in the way of the fact that it’s time to name our stars of the week for the Capitals.
The Caps toured western Canada this week going 2-0-1. The wins coming in Calgary and a heck of a come from behind win in Vancouver. The overtime loss coming in Edmonton after a blown lead and some overtime magic from the deadly McDavid/Draisaitl combo.
In what I think is a bit of a disturbing trend, it’s been hard to pick a standout performance or performances from the Capitals.
