The Capitals made two roster moves today, sending down a forward and a defenseman which could signal an upcoming return for a couple injured players.
The Washington Capitals announced on Monday that they had reassigned forward Zach Sill and defenseman Aaron Ness to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Hershey Bears. Both Sill and Ness performed very well in their roles as depth players, filling in for injured Capitals and validating the organization’s mindset that they have incredible depth even in the minor leagues.

Sill played in seven games for the Washington Capitals, and recorded one goal in that time, coming against the Ottawa Senators.
