The Washington Capitals did not leave their 2-1 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins unscathed. Towards the end of the second period, something happened to Michael Latta that caused him to miss playing time. Latta had to leave the game for precautionary reasons.

Latta has played in 70 NHL games, all of them for the Capitals. He has 10 points in his career. He had no goals and six assists in 53 games last season with a face-off win percentage of 47.8%.
